| Shaped Cloth Nappies - Sized |
| Choosing sized cloth nappies, which come in two or more different sizes, gives you a good fit at each stage, with a less bulky and neater nappy at the newborn stage, and then a larger, more absorbent cloth nappy to take you through to toilet training. Some of the washable nappies come in more than 2 sizes, but most babies will only need the small and large (or size 1 and 2). We have cloth nappies suitable for premature or low birth weight babies, as well as XL size cloth nappies for the larger toddler or late toilet training child. If you need advice, please do ask!
In some cases, the larger size nappy can be used as a birth to potty nappy, which usually works out as the most economical birth to potty system - I have indicated in the product description where this is possible. Some washable nappies might need additional boosters for night-time use, these can be found in our nappy boosters section.
If the choice seems a bit over-whelming, remember that all the reusable nappies I sell are also available to try before you buy, through the Plush Pants Cloth Nappy Trial Scheme.
Free UK delivery on orders over £75 (or just £3.45 on smaller orders).

| DISCONTINUED - limited stock! Tots Bots original cotton nappy is a very popular terry cotton washable nappy, from Scottish company Totsbots. It comes in two sizes, Size 1 fits from 6 - 18lb; Size 2 fits from 18lb - 40lb; it also comes in two fastening varieties - one fastens with velcro; the other needs either pins or nappy nippas. The fastening-free or nippa nappy, allows for a much greater range of adjustment, so you can really tailor the nappy to fit your baby perfectly. Both versions are available in white or unbleached terry cotton. Also available in Organic cotton - please see the Organic Nappies section for full details and prices.
The Tots Bots nappy is made with three layers of terry in the body, and a soaker attached
at the front , made from an additional two layers of terry, so it is
phenomenally absorbent. The edges are stitched and turned, and the elastic is
well encased within the nappy. It is a positive fit round legs and waist,
without being so tight it will mark baby, and because of this it is also very
good for poo containment - even on exclusively breastfed babies.
The second size of the nippa fastening nappy can be used as a birth
to potty nappy. To do this, fold the front of the nappy forwards, from the
point where the soaker pad is sewn in, and fasten with pins or nippa. This is
slightly bulky round the tummy, but makes for by far the cheapest birth to
potty nappy and is therefore an excellent nappy if you're on a tight budget,
but would prefer to use a shaped nappy.
The unbleached version of this nappy is slightly larger than the white, to
allow for around 10% shrinkage - the manufacturer claims this is the first
"shrink to fit" nappy!
Weight: size 1 aplix 150g; size 1 nippa 125g; size 2 aplix 175g; size 2
nippa 150g. The nappy can be washed at up to 95 deg. and tumbled dry, though a 40 deg. wash will be absolutely fine and is recommended.

| I love these nappies. Slimmer fitting than many but just as absorbent. The elastic round the legs is very good at containing new-born baby poo without hurting baby's legs. |

| This nappy could cope with teething poo, with upset tummies, with long, long hours at toddler group and too much orange squash. This is a super nappy!! |

| I love these nappies! One of the best parenting decisions I made. I was comparing notes the other night with a fellow real nappy user and she is finding the prefolds she uses o longer see her toddler through the night even with a booster & I'm having no problems and not even using boosters yet. My only regret is I went for the non-aplix type (to avoid tangles in the washing machine) & I now have a very wriggly little boy who hates having his nappy changed and aplix would be just that little bit easier. |

| I just *adored* my Tots nappies (obsessed to a point that one really shouldn't be about nappies, lol!). I had loads and used them more than any other type. They were so easy to put on, great for absorbtion and containment and washed brilliantly. When I was using them you couldn't get other colours so I dyed my own and they were so funky! I was really sad to part with them but as my daughter got more active she needed a more slimline nappy, but up to about 18 months old they were great and I got so much use from them. Well worth it! |

| Brilliant all-round nappies. Nippa version is much more flexible fit-wise, and my toddler loves to undo aplix! Tots bots just keep on going - I've had 5 years and 2 children's worth of use out of mine. |

| Probably the cutest nappy to look at - imagine the fairy baby!
I prefer the nippa fastening over the aplix as it gives a better fit, can be a little bulky on slim babies and I've found that mine can go a little hard when dry, but a good rub sorts them out. |

| These are definitely absorbent - never had a leak. Prefer the nippas myself, especially as applix ripping open really wakes a baby up in the night! BUT do get crunchy in hard water areas and slow to dry - try fluffles or bamboozle. |
