| This super slim brushed cotton flannelette nappy is quite possibly one of the softest washable nappies we stock, and probably the slimmest too, newly available in Organic cotton flannelette. When I first saw it, I admit I was sceptical as it is SO slim, however the one way to find out if it really does the job was to put it on the baby (14mths)! I put it on just before lunchtime, with a Bumpy wrap over the top, and she then had a long sleep after lunch, followed by a big drink of milk, and finally I changed the nappy and while wet, no leaks whatsoever, and in fact there was still dry fabric at the back of the nappy. So I'm impressed, especially as this is by far the slimmest fitting nappy she's ever worn.
The Imse Flannelette washable nappy is made from 100% soft Organic cotton flannelette, with a panel of flannelette layers stitched in the centre, plus a soaker providing further layers of flannelette stitched at the front of the nappy, to allow you to fold for extra absorbency where your baby needs it most - generally towards the front for boys, and the centre for girls. As the soaker is only attached at the front, the nappy unfolds for quick drying.
The idea with this nappy is to fold it up into a nappy pant, so that it can be used without any fastenings. The shaping makes it better on containment than a prefold, and you'll only need one size from birth to potty, which cuts down wastage and also cuts down on what you have to store. It works best with a velcro fastening wrap, and this is one occasion when I would recommend having the wrap that "goes with" the nappy, in this case the Imse Vimse Bumpy range, however other velcro/aplix fastening wraps will work with it too. If you're looking for cloth nappies that are super slim, these are about the slimmest you will find. Because of the slim fit, this lovely cotton nappy works nicely on newborns as well as with older children. Heavy wetters can use two nappies together for added absorbency. If your child falls into this category, you may find that using the Organic flannelette nappy in the daytime, and the Imse Organic Terry for nights or nap times will make a good combination. Imse Vimse have now added gentle elastication around the leg area, which improves containment.

Machine washable at 60 or 90 degrees. Can be tumble dried on hot, but line dries quickly.
